Dr. Colin O’Dea

Dr. Colin M. O’Dea grew up in a small Midwestern town, where he was an avid soccer player and a member of his high school jazz band. After high school, he left his home state for college, earning a BA in Film Studies, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. He then pursued his medical degree, receiving his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2008. His medical training continued with an Emergency Medicine Residency at Hahnemann University Hospital, Drexel University College of Medicine, which he completed in 2011.

His career and his wife’s military service led Dr. O’Dea and his family to live across the country. They particularly enjoyed their time in San Antonio and returned there to settle after his wife’s military separation. While practicing emergency medicine, Dr. O’Dea became interested in hair restoration after researching treatments for his own thinning hair. This personal interest led him to complete an ISHRS approved hair restoration fellowship training program at Physicians Hair Restoration Center in Houston, TX, which he finished in December 2023. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, a certification he received in June 2012.

Dr. O’Dea continues to practice both emergency medicine and hair restoration. He’s had extensive experience as an Emergency Physician across various locations, including Sacramento, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and multiple roles in San Antonio, TX, since 2011. Currently, he serves as an Emergency Physician at Physicians Premier ER and Envision Healthcare in San Antonio, TX, and has been a Hair Restoration Surgeon at Physicians’ Hair Restoration Center in Houston, TX, since August 2022.

When he’s not working, Dr. O’Dea enjoys spending time with his wife and children, watching sports, and traveling.
